MERCHTEM, 29th August. This week Exim Bank Team China is leaving Europe for a trip around the world which coincides with the final rounds of the 2011 FIA GT1 World Championship. For these last races the team is entering two Corvette C6.R, one for the Chinese-Dutch duo Ho-Ping Tung and Jeroen den Boer bearing start number #11, whilst the car with start number #12 will be in the hands of the Frenchman Michael Rossi together with the Brazilian Sergio Jimenez. Both cars are in the full Exim Bank Team China livery and with two rounds in China, team manager Patrick Selleslagh has marked these off as good results in red in his agenda.
In this 2011 edition of the GT1 World Championship with races held in Ordos (Mongolia), Beijing (China) and San Luis (Argentina) the Exim Bank Team China is competing with two fast and young teams on the two Corvette C6.R GT1 cars:
#11: Ho-Ping Tung (China-29) – Jeroen den Boer (NL-21)
#12: Michael Rossi (Fra-23) – Sergio Jimenez (Bra-27)
